Parliamentary Spokesperson Jen Smith was joined by Colchester MP Bob Russell at a visit to BCOT and Basingstoke Gym Club.
BCOT Principal Judith Armstrong gave Jen and Bob, the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for sport, a tour of the College's extensive
facilities including the hairdressing salon and car workshops. At the Gym club they were met by a parent volunteer, a
full time coach and Basingstoke's Great Britain team representatives.
Bob Russell was highly impressed by the club's facilties and ambitions which include moving to a new, more accesible
sight at Houndmills in Basingstoke. Bob asked the staff to convey their thanks to all the parents, coaches and members
of the Gym Club for making the club the success it is today. He then promised to visit Colchester gym club which has
links with Basingstoke.
